These terms explain, in plain language, what you're agreeing to when you use Magnet — what we are, what we're not, and where the edges of our responsibility sit relative to yours. The same clarity we ask of the product, we owe you here.

What Magnet is — and isn't
In short
Magnet is orientation and support, not therapy, diagnosis, or emergency care. If you need help right now, go to Immediate Help.
Magnet Care, LLC (“Magnet Care,” “Magnet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Magnet, a non-coercive mental health support ecosystem. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Magnet's website, applications, and related services (together, the “Services”). By creating an account, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the Services.
Magnet helps you orient to what feels hard, explore low-pressure support that fits, and move toward human care when you're ready. To be direct about what that does and doesn't mean:
- Magnet is not therapy, counseling, or a licensed clinical service, and using it does not create a therapist-client, provider-patient, or any other clinical relationship with Magnet Care.
- Magnet is not a diagnostic tool. Nothing in the Services is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any mental health condition.
- Magnet is not an emergency or crisis service, and it is not staffed or equipped to respond to urgent, life-threatening, or emergency situations.

Eligibility and accounts
In short
You must be an adult, capable of entering a binding agreement, to use Magnet — and you're responsible for keeping your account information accurate and secure.
To use the Services, you must be an adult under the laws of your state, province, or country of residence, and legally able to enter into these Terms. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement.
If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, to keep that information up to date, and to keep your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away at Hello@Magnet.Care if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
We may suspend or terminate an account that provides false information, violates these Terms, or is used in a way that puts other users, facilitators, or the Services at risk.

Your responsibilities
In short
Give us accurate information, use Magnet as it's intended, and don't rely on it for emergencies.
Using Magnet well is part of what keeps it a safe, low- pressure space. When you use the Services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when it's asked of you, including in any intake, reflection, or account setup steps.
- Use the Services only for their intended purpose — personal orientation, support, and connection to human care — and not for any unlawful, abusive, or harmful purpose.
- Not attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Services, or access accounts or data that aren't yours.
- Not misrepresent your identity, impersonate anyone else, or use the Services on behalf of someone without their knowledge.
Most importantly: Magnet is not built for emergencies. You agree not to rely on Magnet, its facilitators, or any therapist introduced through Magnet as a substitute for emergency or crisis response. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, use Immediate Help or contact local emergency services directly.

Therapist referrals (Ring 3)
In short
Magnet introduces independent therapists based on relational fit. We don't employ, supervise, or guarantee their clinical judgment, and a referral is never a promise of fit or availability.
Part of Magnet's model — what we call Ring 3, or Resonance — involves introducing you to independent therapists, facilitators, or groups who may be a relational fit for what you're looking for. These introductions are based on the information you choose to share, not a clinical assessment, ranking, or certainty of match.
Therapists and other providers introduced through Magnet are independent professionals. They are not employees, agents, or contractors of Magnet Care, and Magnet Care does not supervise, direct, or guarantee their clinical judgment, availability, licensure status, or the outcome of any care you receive from them. Any relationship you enter with a referred therapist is between you and that therapist, governed by their own professional and ethical obligations — not by these Terms.
A referral from Magnet is an introduction, not a guarantee. We don't promise that any particular therapist will be available, will feel like the right fit, or will accept you as a client. You're responsible for evaluating whether a referred therapist meets your needs, including verifying their credentials and licensure in your jurisdiction.

Facilitator boundaries
In short
Regulation Room facilitators provide grounding support in the moment. They do not provide therapy, diagnosis, or crisis intervention.
Regulation Room facilitators support real-time grounding — helping you settle, orient, and find a steadier footing in a given moment. This support is deliberately bounded: facilitators are not licensed clinicians acting in that capacity within Magnet, do not provide therapy or diagnosis, and are not trained or positioned to handle a crisis or emergency.
If what comes up in a facilitated session goes beyond grounding support — including any indication of danger to yourself or someone else — the facilitator's role is to direct you toward Immediate Help or emergency services, not to manage the situation directly. Facilitator sessions are not a confidential clinical record and are not a substitute for therapy or crisis care.

Content and intellectual property
In short
Magnet's content and branding belong to Magnet Care. Anything you share with us, you still own — you just give us permission to use it to run the Services.
The Services, including their design, text, graphics, logos, and underlying software, are owned by Magnet Care or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for their intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Services without our prior written permission.
Any reflections, intake responses, or other content you submit through the Services remain yours. By submitting it, you grant Magnet Care a limited license to use, store, and process that content solely to provide and improve the Services, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability
In short
Standard legal language: the Services are provided as-is, and our liability is limited to the extent the law allows.
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including — without limitation — implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that they will meet your particular needs.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Magnet Care and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Services — including any reliance on referrals, facilitator support, or any other aspect of the Services. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services is limited to the amount, if any, you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes to these terms
In short
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date above marks the last update, and continued use means you accept the current version.
We may revise these Terms periodically to reflect changes to the Services, our practices, or legal and regulatory requirements. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and for material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. We encourage you to revisit this page from time to time.
