Ring 3 · Group support
Relational group spaces — people who are further along keeping company with people just arriving — could genuinely help. But Magnet won't build a group feature just because it's possible to build one. It waits until the operational floor under it is solid.
Here's what that floor actually requires:
Facilitation
A group needs a trained facilitator holding the room, the same way the Regulation Room does — not an unmoderated space where anyone can say anything to anyone.
Moderation
Group dynamics can go sideways in ways a one-to-one interaction with Magnet can't. Moderation tooling and a real response plan need to exist before a group space opens, not after something happens in one.
Safety operations
Crisis handoff, incident review, and a way to remove someone from a room all need to be working and staffed — the same bar the Regulation Room already meets.
What exists today instead
The Regulation Room is Magnet's live, facilitator-led group space — small, structured, camera and talking both optional. It already meets the safety bar a broader group feature would need.
